Great little hotel, clean, tidy and the owners make you feel very welcome. Excellent location for the castle and central Edinburgh. Would definitely come back on my next trip back to Scotland.

Mike and Annie run part of their home as a bed and breakfast and take pride in the quality of their rooms and the food they serve for breakfast. For traintravellers as myself staying for several days Mike gladly and punctually picks guests up at Waverley station for no extra charge. Zugreisende, welche mehrere Tage gebucht haben holt Mike gerne an der Waverley Station ab. Mike und Annie betreiben einen Teil ihres Heims als Bett und Frühstücks Pension. Mit Stolz pflegen sie die Qualität der Zimmer und die Qualität der servierten Lebensmittel beim Frühstück. During our 5 day stay last August we were guests in the large bedroom with en suite generous shower on the first floor. The room was equipped with an ultra comfortable kingsizebed, sitting and writing seats and table and a generous cabinet to store our clothes and things in. The huge window doused the room in lovely light. Während unseres 5 tägigen Aufenthaltes im letzten August bewohnten wir das grosse Schlafzimmer im ersten Stock, welches mit einem grosszügigen Dusch WC Raum ausgestattet ist. Das überdimensionale Bett entspricht genau unseren Komforterwartungen, gute Sitz und Schreibgelegenheiten und ein grosser Schrank gehören ebenso zu diesem Zimmer. Mike and Annie are the most gracious hosts showing an engaged interest in the wellbeing of their guest. No question is too much for them, they certainly love Scotland and are an immense fount of knowledge about Scotland, Edinburgh and certainly Loch Lomond where they spend their spare free time fishing and boating. Mike und Annie sind die grosszügigsten Gastgeber, und zeigen ein wirkliches Interesse für ihre Gäste. Keine Frage ist ihnen zuviel, sie sind eine immense Wissensquelle über Schottland, Edinburgh und Loch Lomond wo sie ihre allzu seltene Freizeit als Fischer auf ihrem Boot verbringen. Breakfast is their common domain of excellence, Mike takes immense pride in the daily preparation of his fresh fruit salad often supported with the biological fresh fruit coming out of their or their daughters gardens. Annie whacks out fantastic accoutrements of traditional scottish breakfast. Their bread is organic produced by their one daughter, who has left banking to take up the trade of organic bakery. Das Frühstück ist ihr gemeinsames Interesse. Mike ist stolz auf seinen täglich zubereiteten Fruchtsalat mit frischen Früchten, oft ergänzt mit biologischen Früchten aus dem Garten oder den Gärten der Töchter. Annie steht in der Küche und bereitet die üblichen Köstlichkeiten des traditionellen schottischen Frühstücks. Das handwerklich hergestellte Brot kommt von der einen Tochter, welche das Bankgewerbe zugunsten einer Ausbildung als Bäckerin aufgegeben hat. As a last Word Dear Annie and Mike ever again!
