The Cricketers Arms

The cricketers is a rather grand pub just between Southampton Airport and Eastleigh. A beautiful old building that has plenty of charm outside and inside, having a recent refurb I would think.
Very welcoming when you go for a sunday drink, or for a drink after work (done both!) and the staff are great and friendly, creates a great atmosphere in the pub and the prices are pretty good with a good selection of real ales on tap for those interested.
They have outside tables for when its warmer!

I visited the Cricketers with my sister after a morning shopping in Eastleigh late summer. We sat outside as they have refurbished the outside and have some nice wooden decking and large tables and umbrellas. They also have extra outdoor seating in the back of the pub. We arrived just before 12 and were informed that the staff behind the bar couldn’t accept food orders until 12 so we sat at the bar for 5 minutes and waited until Noon! At 12, the bar staff duly took our orders. We ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich and a vegetarian wrap. We sat down with our number and our food was brought out within about 20 minutes. The sandwich was lovely, huge doorsteps of bread, loads of chicken, avocado and mixed up with mayo. My sisters wrap was also very good apparently. Lunch for the both of us with soft drinks was about £12 and I would love to go back as I sometimes dream about that sandwich!
