Prezzo

I’m pretty sure that once upon a time Prezzo was actually fairly decent. It had an interesting menu, tasty ingredients and friendly staff. Unfortunately, not any more.
The chain has been stretched to breaking point, there are actually TWO in my dad’s small town. I assume catering for the elderly and the lacking of tastebud…
If you’re looking for authentic Italian, this is not the place for you. The sauces are bland with that chemical aftertaste you find in supermarket sauces. The pasta is doughy and overcooked. The menu is BORING and the service is rushed, unfriendly and super slow. The interior is also uncomfortable; too spacious with odd vases and not a hint of coziness. Not exactly date night décor.
I know Eastleigh isn’t exactly brimming with fine dining opportunities, but hey, Southampton isn’t far away. I’m pretty sure you can find something decent there…

This place is so bad I cannot think of the right words to use. Bad service from the manager, stone cold pomodoro sauce, picante calzone with no chillies (which is the whole point). Avoid this place at all cost.
