Ahh, Superfish. Serving Molesey with it’s finest fish and chips for decades now. Truth be told, everyone in Molesey has their own opinion about who does the best fish, there are about five similar cafes in the area. I personally would always go to Superfish. The building is old and lovely, almost iconic. If you know this area, you know Superfish.
I think this is where my family always got their fish and chips when I was little. I used to tear all the batter off my portion of haddock and scoff it down in three bites. Hang on, I’ve just realised why I was a chubby kid! Now the menu has got a bit more healthy. They even do grilled fish. As well as pots of tea, they serve wine now — chardonnay, pino grigio and rioja. My friend and her family took their dad here for his birthday and brought champagne to drink with their fish and chips. Now that is class.
They also do a very nice looking lunch special for £5.95, which is scampi, a bread roll, some salad and a soft drink. It’s gotta be had!
