I shopped in your small branch of Sainsbury's in Framwellgate Moor, Durham, this morning. I had a moderate 'shop' - although one always finds products/bargains one cannot resist! Today was no exception and I purchased rather more than I had planned. I am almost 80, walk with a 'stick' and my shopping, when 'bagged', was simply too heavy to manage. I have always found the staff in Sainsbury's stores to be particularly polite and helpful and this branch is no exception. One young lady, by the name of Hazel, simply heaved my heavy bags into a trolley which solved the problem. I said I would return the trolley when I'd unloaded the bags into my car which was parked about 200 yards away. However Hazel would have none of it! She insisted that she accompany me and return the trolley for me which I thought was so kind and generous of her. Perhaps you could identify 'Hazel' and thank her for me? (I understood that she was in this store 'on loan' from your branch at the Arnison Centre - because of staff holidays or illness pehaps?) I will end by saying that every time I go into this smaller branch of your store they are unfailingly helpful and polite. Well done Sainsbury's!

This store is quite big and I like the range of food they have for vegetarians, you can use your nectar card for points although its not as good value as clubcard. Massive car park which is free, prices are quite expensive although they can have good offers on. Its got other shops nearby like a nice discount store and other bits for sunday shopping if you fancy it.

Located at the Arnison Centre Shopping complex near Newton hall in Durham. Other shops nearby include Marks and Spencer, Boots, Next, Homebase and Halfords. While not the biggest Saisburys I’ve been in, it’s not a bad size. They seem to stock a lot of different products from the Basics range right up to the Finest range. while the prices aren’t the cheapest of the big 4 supermarkets, the quality of the food can be better on some items. I can highly recommend their Butter Chicken, it’s better than any other I’ve tasted and a decent price too! It has a large car park with disabled and parent and child spaces.
