Dunstable high street has traffic problems that just won’t go away — until the bypass is opened? Anyone that has travelled along it will recall the density of the traffic and the seemingly nonsensical traffic light system. It’s apparently an improvement on the old roundabout system it replaced at both ends, yet when there’s a problem with the M1 (often!) it gets so clogged up it seems like there’s no escape. Hell on earth?
When cruising at 1mph (good luck!), the view is not so great either — much better to be going faster to avoid the sights for sore eyes that Dunstable town centre now offers.
