Graze is a wee gem of a place right in the centre of Dunbar. The waitresses are really friendly and the food is divine. I am not really a fan of their hot chocolate(too hot and watered down) but the cakes — rocky road, cupcakes, flapjacks, apple cakes, chocolate cake, scones — just typing this is making my mouth water! There are plenty of seats and if the weather permits, you can sit in the little sun trap of a courtyard at the back of the place. There are also 2 tables out on the street, which are great for people watching but aren’t really relaxing because the high street isn’t pedestrians only and cars come thundering past every second. I recommend that you go into Graze and buy yourself a coffee and a rocky road and just take the atmosphere in. The best seats are at the front and the back of the shop. Bön appetite!

Grabbed a quick breakfast on my way to the festival. Service was very friendly, and I had the breakfast deal of a breakfast roll(3 fillings) with free hot drink(a much-needed latte!). Delicious fresh, crusty baguette with square sausages, red onion and tomato(with brown sauce) — a generous portion and all the ingredients were good quality, cooked well and tasty. Really reasonable price too, if I ever find myself in Edinburgh again I will definitely return to explore the many options.

Graze is a lovely wee café on the high street of Dunbar. There are a few cafes around, but after peering through all the windows, this one seemed the best bet for a cup of tea and a bit of cake! The interior is well presented. Somewhat reminiscent of the(in)famous S. Luca’s in layout; the front section has an ice cream counter and a couple of high tables for people that want to perch. A small corridor leads to the back room where there are plenty of tables. Unlike many cafes of this type, the tables are not squashed together and there’s plenty of space. There’s also a small courtyard out the back with four or five tables for when the weather is nice. I saw plenty of dogs out there, too, so it seems the courtyard is dog-friendly. Although I didn’t order any hot food, their menus were pretty extensive for breakfast and lunch. Lots of different types of hot and cold sandwiches, full breakfasts etc. I saw what other people were eating and it looked pretty decent and the prices are very reasonable. There is a big shelf in the room at the back that is stacked with all their home-baked cakes for the day, which is very convenient for choosing what you want. We had the pot of tea for two and a slice of coffee and walnut cake. Pro-tip: The pot of tea for two is really too big for two people unless you’re super-thirsty. Also, you get a tea bag in each cup rather than a few tea bags in the pot; the pot just has hot water. So you end up with one decent infusion, one slightly weak infusion, then a series of barely-tea-flavoured cups of milky hot water. It’s not ideal and surprisingly expensive for what amounts to two tea bags and some hot water. You’re probably best just getting two mugs of tea. On the whole, the décor is lovely, the staff are nice and there’s a great selection of food, drink and treats on offer at very fair prices.

Gut für einen Zwischenstopp mit Kaffee, Tee und Kuchen oder Eis. Man kann drinnen oder auf zwei Tischen an der Straße sitzen. Das Personal ist freundlich.

If you have coeliac, this is not a safe option for you. I’m giving it a 3 because the only thing I could safely eat there(despite advertising gluten-free options) were some watery, pretty poor scrambled eggs and plain, untoasted, bread. My friends who were with me and can eat gluten were very happy with their meals though, and I’m sure if you are choosing to eat gluten-free, it would be a great place. If you want a coffee and a gluten-free treat, they can do that for sure. However, if you are sensitive or have coeliac, there are no cross-contamination procedures in place for the rest of their food.

Great food for lunch, they have wraps and salads! The lady that works here is super nice and guided me through the food line process! If in Edinburgh, come here over Subway.

Graze Coffee & Chocolate House Dunbar What a nice and lovely coffee shop! We stopped at Dunbar to visit the castle… but what we really liked was this small shop. Excellent coffee, homemade pies and cake’s and delicious homemade chocolate. Great!

It makes me sad that not enough people in Scotland know about Unilocal as this should not be the first review for this place and it makes me sadder that not enough people know bout Graze! Probably the nicest salad I have ever had! I had the chilli, prawn, ginger and lime salad and it came with gorgeous brown bread! In fact, all my family’s meals were apparently gorgeous too! If your in Dunbar, you must check this place out!
