Renton Garage

Recently I took my nephew here to get his bike MOTd. The bike failed on various minor points and we ended up working on it right there on the forecourt to sort it out. We had practically no tools and couldn’t have really gotten anywhere on our own. But everyone at the garage was amazing. We were given a loan of tools, WD40 etc. A bolt couldn’t be removed from the exhaust clamp and someone got the oxycetalyne torch out to heat it and remove it for us. Later the same person actually rectified the exhaust problem for us by putting some sealant on the exhaust and re-​fitting everything, with all the necessary cleaning etc., even supplying a new bolt.
Everything we needed — tools, directions to places where we could get bolts etc., labour — it was all provided to us while we spent hours taking up the forecourt space. And in the end we had a free re-​test, the bike passed, and they never asked for a single penny from us for all of the help they provided.
I can’t recommend this place enough after that visit — this is what we want our garages to be like, but most of the time we get ripped off and don’t get to experience any genuine customer service, just any excuse to charge extortionate labour.
