Cool Discs is one of my favourite record shops in Europe.
The staff are super friendly and really chatty. This works twofold. You get loads of records that you didn’t even know you loved and they make a sale or two more.
It’s a tidy, neat little pocket of musodom and has a stock that puts the rest of Ireland to shame.
It’s got a few modern, mainstream cuts knocking around but really, Cool Discs is all about hidden gems stocking ace lost folk LPs, killer garage punk long-​players and more rock ‘n’ roll than you can shake a stick at.
It was a bit of a surprise to stumble over this shop but I’m incredibly glad I did.
If you’re in town, pay it a visit. It’s the perfect record shop.
