Lovely little café just opposite the guildhall — quite nice today to get away from all the Halloween madness!

As an American, I felt back at home when I walked into this restaurant. Had a chance to meet the chef, who was very friendly and welcoming. The soup was fantastic and goes well with the sour dough bread. The sandwiches were delicious. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, this is a spot to try out in Derry.

This is a cozy little place just outside the city walls and across from the Guildhall. They have fresh sandwiches, wraps, soup of the day and «comfort food.» They also have an incredible assortment of sweets including a chocolate muffin with a candy bar plunged through the top. Prices are quite reasonable too. Service is very friendly.

Incredibly friendly people. There wasn’t room for our group of seven to have lunch in the café so they set us up with chairs and little tables in the gift shop section next door. They made every effort to accommodate us without acting in the slightest like we were the large annoying group of tourists that we were. Aside from the great service, this is a really unique place, combination coffee shop and Derry arts and crafts and gifts. There were some lovely cards with photos of Derry — not popular tourist images, just really lovely photos — as well as ceramics, jewelry, bags and accessories. The food was good, not outstanding, but the whole vibe of this place was so pleasant I have to give it 5 stars.
