Beautiful location and pub, however the food didn’t impress at all. We chose from the set menu and even though it was a good deal it wasn’t even worth the cheap price.

The Spread Eagle is right in the centre of Etwall, opposite to the John Port School. It has a sizeable beer garden, with numerous benches and flanked with colourful landscaped borders. Inside the pub is seperated into two distinct areas. One has a well used pool table, constantly streaming sports channel and large TV mainly focussed on the news. The other side has the bar with its plethora of ales, lagers and spirits, a good selection. The rest of the area is a range of seating, all around a wood-​burning stove. The staff are chatty and friendly, and the whole place is kept clean. All in all, a good place to have a relaxing pint.
