the 99p store

bit crappy, not loads of great stuff! use the other ones.

It is a great store where you can find such bargain’s all at just one pound. From food and household product’s, to toy’s and stationery. Has to be worth a visit.

This is just another average 99p /​£ shop like many that have suddenly popped up in the centre of derby recently. This one probably has the biggest variety of stock and is in the westfield centre for convenience.
The layout is quite simple and everything seems to be in a relevant place although the shopping aisles seem a little small and the shelves are usually packed very fully.
The staff are not that friendly and i wouldn’t really want a conversation with them anyway. They just want to get the queue down as quick as they can which is very efficient but not very customer friendly.
This shop always seems to be extremely busy and it is hard to get around.
There is a policy in this store: If the till operator does not give you a receipt, go to the manager and they will give you £5. Sounds good but they will always give you a receipt.
The prices are very good and they offer some brill brands for the price that they offer. It is also useful when you don’t have much cash and fancy a cheap drink. Probably the cheapest place in westfield.

This is the best store to come to town it stock is great and cheap as the store name said the max price is 99p in store and it is found in the westfield centre

this is a bit too cheap but you can find what ever you need for the office, home or anywhere else. this is good if you are desperate for something you need but got no money. it has just about everything

I think the 99p store is a revelation. They have had them in other towns for a long while but This year we finally got one in Derby, in the new Westfield centre.
It is like my new favourite hang out as I know that whatever I need I am bound to find it in there. For instance, I have discovered Mr Muscle Frozen Lime and Vinegar wipes. They would probably be about £2 in Wilkinsons and they clean anything and everything for just 99p. They also sell 2litre bottles of Pepsi for 79p. I also bought a mop and bucket for 99p each.
The best thing about the 99p store compared to the £shops is the variety of lines and there is so much more choice especially with the food and confectionery aisles.
Just think if you spend £10 a week in Poundland then go to the 99p store and save 10p a week and those pennies will mount up :)
Back to the reviewIt is well laid out with plenty of room to get round up and down the aisles with the major plus being the till staff. They are all very polite. They always say Hello and Goodbye and Please and Thank you and they are very fast. The queues go down very quickly without fuss.
Also they are trained to give you a receipt every time so if they don’t, you can go to the manager and he will give you a fiver!

The 99p store is quite good, you can get quality brand name confectionary, food, drinks and even hair products for just 99p, however the collection of stationary isn’t quite as impressive as the other things sold in there. Also a me and a friend of mine (shes 21) got ID’d for some cert 15 dvds, she didn’t expect this so she had no form of I. D on her and they refused to give her the 2 15 dvds aswell as the pg one she was planning to purchase.
