Visited this restaurant on Valantines night. The restuarant was 2/3’s empty and the waiter asked us if we had booked and seemed very put out that we hadn’t. After a 10 minute wait, we were shown to a table under the airconditioning unit. As our candle had blown out and our napkins were in danger of being blown away, I asked if we could move. The waiter said he would turn the aircon off, but never did. We had to wait 20 minutes to have our order taken, another 20 minutes for starters to come out, after the starter plates were cleared we had to wait 30 minutes for our mains. We ordered drinks that did not arrive, after prompting we got them — the bar is in the middle of the restaurant and my husband was poured a carling, having asked for cobra — no surprise that he was charged for the more expensive cobra! Womens toilets had no toilet roll, no soap and no hand towel. Food was fine, but at £10+ for a curry I expected more. Staff were not friendly, service was painfully slow and the restaurant was not busy. The only good thing is I was given a rose as I left, but I will not go back.
