Wow. I used to go to this place because it had acquired cult status amongst my friends. I eventually knocked this on the head and stopped going. It is a real greek kebab shop compared to the rest of Derby which tends to have indian tilted ones.
That means kebab on a pitta only!
It isn’t cheap. The food isn’t great and the staff are so unbelievably rude and aggressive you wonder why they even bother facing customers. We used to call it Derby grizzle because of this.
In hindsight this would have been because it was frequented by students pouring out of the friary, I think that would be enough to upset anyone, but really. Like kebab shops used to be in my youth back in the old small towns.
Angry staff. Mediocre food. Above average prices.
As an example. Can I have the salad on the side? NO. Can I have chilli and mint? NO, one sauce. Can’t I have an extra. £1 extra. £1 extra?! Leave now. NEXT!
