The buffet /​carvery I am afraid is very bland. The meat is tasteless and the veg seems frozen. then cooked of course. At lunch and early doors it is full of children. Would prefer to pay a little bit more and go somewhere else. 1 star given for pleasant staff

nice for a cheap meal in the week £3.50 for a carvery, the meat is put on your plate and help yourself to as much veg as you can pile on, the place its self is a bit drab and often has kids running round but if all you want is a quick lunch it is good value for money

I really am not very keen on this place although the food is cheap. I guess you get what you pay for on the food but my biggest problem is that you cannot get anything other than the basic keg beers. So, if you want cheap food this may be the place for you but if you care for your beer stay away.

This lareg pub has undergone a make over in previous years and now focuses onthe meals they serve.
The cavery is excellent value for a cheap dinner on a sunday with a pint its ideal. I wouldnt go here as first choice for any meal but is convenient. The cavery is the best option for food.
