I can’t get enough of their lamb bhuna. There, I’ve said it. We recently moved to Crayford and thought we had a long and arduous task ahead of us, trying to work out where the best Indian would be. We were prepared, for the good of everyone of course, to try every Indian in Crayford, Bexleyheath, Dartford and even Greenhithe if we had to, such was our dedication. Fortunately(or unfortunately depending on how you look at it) we struck lucky on the first go and found Unique Spice. I can’t fault it. We always go for a lamb dish because Matt R says it’s the best way to test a curry house, as lamb is really easy to overcook and mess up. And they did it perfectly. The lamb was tender, the sauce was filled with vegetables, plenty of sauce, just the right amount of spice to please both of us(and we have SERIOUSLY different tolerances for spice) and there was SOMUCH of it. Crazy good. We also ordered the mixed platter for starter, which was chicken tikka, onion bhaji, lamb tikka and a seekh kebab. It only cost £3.85 and there was more than enough for two. Same went for the rice, poppadoms and they even threw in a few extra for free for us. That’s really the one overwhelming thing about Unique Spice other than the excellent food; it’s really good value for money too. For the two of us, a meal with starters, mains, rice, poppadoms and naan bread came to about £15. I couldn’t believe it. Since that very first time, we’ve ordered from them every couple of weeks and the food is always the same amazing quality as the first time. We’re SO happy with them and considering we can see them from our kitchen window, I know we’ll be back again. And again. And again…
