I love the idea of tapas and tapas in Bluewater is convenient as hell, but this just didn’t satisfy. We arrived at about 7:30 and the place was busy but not rammed. So far, so good. We were seated at a four person table when there were only two of us, which was a bit weird to begin with but boy did it make sense when the food came out. They advise you order three dishes per person and this is pretty spot on. We were definitely full but not sick-full after that amount, so, nice advice, La Tasca. Much appreciated. They also lit a candle on our table for added romance and I definitely appreciated the gesture. It’s the little touches. We ordered the cheese and spinach balls, pork belly, albondigas, deep fried fish, mini burgers and prawns in garlic sauce. And it was pretty hit and miss if I’m honest. The good dishes: The prawns in garlic sauce were delicious. Just the right amount of garlic, not too oily and perfectly cooked prawns. The cheese and spinach balls were also beautiful. Lots of flavour, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. YUM. And the albondigas was nice. Rich romato sauce and juicy meatballs. The bad dishes: The deep fried fish. It was just greasy. You took a bite of it and it left your mouth filled with oil, Disgusting. The mini-burgers had caramelised onion inside and that was all you could taste. FAR too sweet. And the pork belly had more fat than meat and was a little dry. So, we’re batting on a 50 – 50 average now. Not so great. And that’s before my other huge bugbear comes into it. All the dishes we ordered were on the sharing menu. That means they were designed to share, usually between two. But we got three cheese and spinach balls. Nine prawns. Five meatballs. Five pieces of fish. One chunch of pork belly. Basically. there was no way other than cutting stuff in half that we could split it evenly. Even if you were a table of three or four, it’s still ridiculous to split. Why have food on the sharing menu that is awkward to share fairly?! ARGH! Price-wise, it was pretty decent. We paid £40 for six dishes, a glass of house red and a strawberry daiquiri(essentially a strawberry smoothie with a glug of alcohol, NOT nice). But I wouldn’t go back. When the food is so hit and miss, I wouldn’t want to take the risk when I can go somewhere else and be guaranteed a 100% nice experience. Disappointing.

Bizarrely, considering that it’s in a shopping centre, this may well be the best tapas I’ve ever had! La Tasca is a bit hit and miss but this is the best one I’ve been to and the best Patatas Bravas I’ve experienced, including in Spain. Expect a bit of a wait around peak times.

Excellent Spanish inspired tapas restaurant on the ground floor in Bluewater, perfect for lunch or dinner. The food here is lovely(though quite small portions) and arrives at your table quickly. The setting is rustic and a little romantic with candles on the table and a somewhat al fresco feel. La Tasca often run special offers, so it’s best to have a quick check on their website before you visit.

Tasty Spanish restaurant. Good selection of food. Relaxing atmosphere and close to the shops, it’s a Great chill out space. Average prices, Worth the money. Inside the Bluewater shopping centre.

La Tasca seems to be popping up all over the place. The setting here is nice enough and the staff helpful enough if you ask for recommendation. The Sangria is great, paella too(but you will have to wait a while) but you can feel like to are sitting on someone elses table as there isn’t much space between them.

We have been here more than a dozen times. It is the best place to eat when you are shopping. It is a little oasis in a busy shopping centre. You can keep ordering the tapas as you go so order little and keep adding, that way there is no waste. The service is very quick and pleasant. Nice place to be.

The food is pretty good but unfortunately we found that some of the dishes were cold when they came out. Was nice to enjoy the tapas feel though and they did have a good childrens menu. Friendly staff.

I love this place. The food is excellent and there is a good variety. It is a little expensive, but it is different from any of the other restaurants in Bluewater Shopping Centre so I think is worth paying a little extra for. Our meals cost us approx £30 a head and two of the four in our party had alcohol. The service was excellent and as we had never been before they advised us on how to order. We chose four dishes each and there was so much to choose from. I would definately visit this spanish restaurant again.

La Tasca is a chain of tapas restaurants. The décor & atmosphere is similar throughout each of the branches. They are cosy restaurants with candles on each table, spanish /salsa music playing in the background and a full menu of traditional spanish food. Tapas food is served in small portions and it is customary to order 3 — 4 of these dishes per person(this should be equivilant to a regular sized meal in a restaurant) the idea of tapas is to share. La Tasca also serves paella & sangria, it almost feels like you are still on holiday for the evening!

This is a friendly Spanish restaraunt. We always have a selection of tapas which are absolutely delicious. The service is very efficient and the staff pleasant. It is quite relaxing to sit and watch the world go buy as you sit and chill out with your glass of wine. The great thing is that even when the shops have shut on a Sunday afternoon the resteraunts stay open so you never feel as though you will be hurried along as soon as you have finished your meal.
