As most people who are familiar with this chain of shops, we are drawn to it like a magnet. 9⁄10 times we dont need any of the items that they sell, but as you can imagine we always seem to find something to buy, even if is 42 packs of crisps for £1. Overall a good sized store with plendy of everything. usually kept clean and tidy with pleasent staff, this a change for this shop as some of the people who work in other poundland stores can be quite abrupt and rude. the variety that you getr ranges from soaps and shower gels to trowels and frying pans, and all under one roof. Some of the items that do go on sale there are heavily discounted.

Cheap and cheerful. Everything is a pound(unless the product is not worth a pound, in which most cases it would be 2 for a pound). You can buy a lot of stuff here, ranging from toiletries, to batteries, household cleaning products, sweets and chocolate, toys for the kids, and accessories for the car. What is rubbish about the place is that most of it is ‘tat’. You are not really paying for quality here, more cheap goods for cheap prices, however they do sell a few brand names, so you know what you are getting form your money. Its worth a look, especially if you like to grab a bargain.

We pop into Poundland when we go to Cwmbran Town Centre. The only problem is EVERY time we go in there we end up spending at least £10. I don’t think anyone ever comes out with just the 1 item they intended to buy. From sunglasses with tags reading £29.99, leather belts with tags of £19.99, baking dishes marked at £9.99 etc. etc. — all of them now just £1. When they do specials — they do SPECIALS! Of course they have lots of items that are virtually always in stock — at great prices — OK £1 — BUT who can resist browsing & finding those items which are massively reduced. You might not actually need them but you know if you leave it there, then you’d want it & you’d never see them again at that price — £1. I’m sure that many of us who live nearby have many items from Poundland — some you’ll use but others ??? They could make good Christmas presents! LOL
