Friendly staff, and the amount of space are the main positives.
The food isn’t great, didn’t had such a bad experience as previous reviewer. Have been here thrice and quality remained low.

I’m gonna quote Liz Lemon on this experience: Blurg.
If Jack in the Box served «Spanish» tapas, they would probably taste a lot like the greasy, deep fried and mostly entirely nothing to do with Spanish food we got.
Needless to say, I was utterly unimpressed with our food, and worse, it was one of those meals that you continue to regret long after you’ve finished it. I seriously felt the same as if I’d just eaten a value meal from a fast food restaurant. And I wouldn’t doubt that the food is the same quality and prepared (i.e. freezer to deep fryer to table) the same way. In fact, I’ve had better freezer to table apps from Costco, for eff’s sake.
And look, I’m not one to judge those who wanna eat fried calamari and the like — or, subsequently, the restaurants that serve that food. But don’t have the gall to call them «Spanish tapas» and charge £10 a head for that bollocks (we got the Tapas to Share Seafood selection). With a couple beers and a churro dessert, our total for two came to about £40.
Blech I still get a bit quesy thinking about all that grease. Never again.
(I apologize for a completely American reference to Jack in the Box — I considered changing it to TGI Friday’s, but honestly even that frat boy fry house would serve better food that this)

The ambient is good and warm, and the staff are friendly and all, but really the food is not exactly the best. The quality of the food is not that amazing — some dishes arrived cold — but the sangria and the wine selection is pretty good. For good Spanish food in Croydon try Galicia instead.

A little taste of Spain — La Tasca is a Spanish Tapas bar and restaurant based in Central Croydon. If you feel the urge for a nice and sweet sangria to accompany you calamari, then you have found the right place!
They also offer Tapas for a Tenner (Eat as much as you like).
