Cracking wee spot for a cheeky fry. Had a lovely full fry and it was tip top quality. I’d say it’ d cure the hangover rightly. The service was great– we had a very friendly waitress who was more than helpful. I’d love to go back and try the lunch menu– or check out the shop downstairs, plenty on offer!

Stopped by for lunch, ordered 8oz steak sandwich open face with triple cooked chips, onion rings and salad. The steak was a regular steak, uncut and more like a dinner meal. Overall very good meal but a bit more than expected for lunch.
Small seating area downstairs with more open seating upstairs, no lift available.
Nice sweets, teas and coffees available as well.

I love this butchers! Seriously, you cannot go wrong with a trip to McCartneys! Whether it’s for a good cut of meat for a roast dinner, or a great steak, or for a lovely range of ready to cook products, you will not be disappointed.
Their customer service is excellent, and all the staff really know their stuff, and go the extra mile to deliver that personal touch.
As well as a fab butchery department, McCartneys have relatively recently extended their premises and now boast a fab deli and bistro/coffee shop.
Once again, the food is outstanding and the customer service is the best.
I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!
