Pavilion Cantonese Restaurant

Has been open for over 20 years now and has consistently served a top notch dining experience. May cost a little more than Stowell Street in Newcastle but many must consider it worth it, because it’s always full!
Typically need to book ²⁄₃ weeks in advance to secure a table for Saturday evening

Only eaten here as part of a large group but the food is knockout. Really tasty large portions and good parking make it worth driving out to. I think better tha most restaurants of similar style In Newcastle.
Mouth waters when driving out. Cant be sure there is no MSG used but never had the raging thirst you get after a MSG heavy meal

Highly recommended. Really nice staff. best to go on sunday nights or during the week (except fri) as its less busy then. You get fast service, really nice food. very posh inside with really nice chinese décor. Would recommend. But note u need the dosh as its pricey for food, they add on an extra 20% on top of the price if you eat in but you get treated like a princess when you go in. You can also get a takeaway as well but you need to collect, they do not deliver.

Go on try and get a table if you can.
With this one it’s definitely a case of book early to prevent being disappointed, the restaraunt is run by Kim a more than friendly gentleman who has built this business up from nothing. The restaraunt is a little off the beaten track but definitely worth putting in your sat nav.
The décor is never tacky or looking as if it’s seen better days, he must have a midnight army of decorators as it’s never closed and always full to the brim. The dining room is split into various areas with small and large parties. The staff are extremely polite. possibly as Kim runs a tight ship. The food has always been exceptional and the have various set menus which they are happy to chop and change to meet with your taste buds.
Best to have a nominated driver if you don’t live nearby.
