This is a first class local cinema/theatre. Shows some of the new releases at the same time as all of the other cinemas in the country. Often has one night stage shows — Ken Dodd rates it as his favourite theatre. Owned by the Council who can’t yet afford to have 3D installed — I’m told it costs £80.000. Smart and classy inside. Nice foyer/coffee bar.

Old films showing on here mainly, rarely new ones but really nice atmosphere and the staff are always friendly enough. Rarely packed so much more relaxed. Prices a bit expensive I think but still a nice place to go. Better to bring snacks with you as theirs are very pricey as well as the drinks costing a fair bit. If there is a panto on or a new show then it is packed so be prepared to arrive earlier. The seats are dead uncomfortable though so bring a pillow if you need it. Usually find the back seats go first as they have more leg room, so arrive earlier if you want those seats.
