Was at a loose end looking for somewhere to dine on the 12÷6÷11 and fancied an Indian after seeing what was on offer in Congleton. IGNITE has won some top awards for a few years now and is in a group of five restaurants furthest is in Scotland. With being late in for grand buffet I passed a party of nine people leaving at 9pm on a Sunday. I ask how the food was reply«cheap and good» So in I went and was pleasently greeted and was told the buffet finishes in an hour also the a’la carte menu was available. So I went for the buffet said on a listing there was 20 dishes, but only 14 left. I asked for some fresh spring rolls, onion bhajees and some fresh wings which duly came and luckily all other items were of the sort everyone would not have missed out on anything you’d enjoy! Décor very tidy staff & management very helpfull & looked after you. A chap came in for a take away and has used the same Restaurant for twenty years and sang HIGHPRAISES. Comparred to the Wirral areas prices this is worth a trip even 40 miles & enjoy AUTHENTIC Indian cuisine. Some info on some of the offers available are below. Mon — Fri four course lunch £4−95 Wednesday & Thursday pensioners nights Only £5−95 Every Sunday the Grand Buffet only £7−95 There most expensive dishes are £7−95 King Prawn dishes as a main. Now if wanting a meal really hot & or spicey just ask. I will be happy to return again very soon. Seating for around 80 people comfortably

Now called something like ‘Ignite the Authentic Taste of the Raj’, this has been a Congleton institution for over 20 years. If the formal service, over-the-top, chintzy interior and slightly ridiculous new name all suggest illusions of grandeur all is forgiven because the food is very good. The owner clearly takes a lot of pride in his establishment. The menu selection is vast, with all the classics and special ‘low-cholesterol’ sauce options, which you don’t see very often. Prices are probably higher than the other curry houses in the area. Oh and the naan breads really are like tasty duvets — you’ll want to eat it all, but probably won’t

Good popular Indian restaurant on the main street in Congleton. Limited parking available behind, although entrance is extremely tight. More parkng available outside of the road. Great food, and service. Plenty of curries etc to choose from. Plenty of tables, but can get busy. Good value for money, and we never managed to find room for deserts! Naan breads are huge, and we often end up getting one between us, and taking the leftover bread home. I wouldn’t reccomend ordering one naan each. If it rains, you could always use it as an umbrella!
