myself i find this supermarket to expencive, yes they do have a wide range of products from fresh bread, dvd’s to childrens toys, i also find the staff there not to helpful, i was in there a while back and couldn’t find what i was looking for i asked an assistant and she just looked at me and shrugged her shoulder’s which i thought was quite rude.

You get great deals on food, wine and financial products, at this store and here you can buy flowers and gifts, the veg is always fresh.

I always thought sainsburys was the most expensive supermarket. I thought it was the supermarket for wasps. but then I noticed one day that they had a great museli for 52 p. i thought wow thats a good musli. so i tried other things in the ‘basics’ range. the wine is the cheapest wine Ive found in the uk at 2.22 per bottle. and it tastes fine. this sainsburys isnt full size, but you get most things there. on a good day you will get the crazy busker outside who is alway happy despite his apparently dire circumstances. heartwarming.

Although you may have to pay more for food at Sainsbury’s, it is most definitely worth it. Unlike other stores, such as Tesco and Asda, Sainsbury’s Tollgate feels more like a shop than an aircraft hangar. Also, staff and customers appear to be much friendlier, although finding a parking space at peak times can be a struggle. Products are, in my opinion, of a better quality than other supermarkets and, although this is reflected in the price, if you can afford it it is very much worth it. In all, my personal favourite supermarket and ideal as a middle-​of-​the-​road store.

The carpark here is rather small and always busy it could do with being redesigned but it is free.
We always pop in here for our packed lunch on the way to Colchester zoo as it is much nicer and cheaper than the food at the zoo.
There is a busy petrol station as well as the superstore.
The fruit and vegetable department is very big with nice fresh produce. At the back are the deli, chickens etc.
There is a nice customer café again this can get very busy and you will wait for a long time for your food also this seems to shut very earlier compared to the main shop.
There is a pharmacy in the store and also a dry cleaners and key cutting shop and Sainsburys range of clothes.
