Two years ago we visited The Peldon Rose and stayed for a pint and a ploughmans for lunch. This was magnificent and so we decided to take a group of friends there for Sunday lunch. We arrived early, as is usual for us, so taking in the lovely weather sat in the garden with a pint of real ale. The bar has about four real ales and a good selection of other beers. When our friends arrived we had another drink while my partner went inside to let management know our group had arrived. She was told the table was ready and to come through when we were ready. No rush. As soon as we sat at the table the menus were delivered and an order taken for drinks while we perused. Nice selection for a Sunday with a seemingly good choice for any veggies. Starters of smoked salmon and gavalax, crayfish cocktail and antipasti were chosen. Followed by Roast beef for most of us and duck for one. All the dishes were delicious. The beef was accompanied by quite a few roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and a side dish of freshly prepared vegetables. Nice assortment of desserts was offered but, being full, we resisted. Coffee was a good choice. Freshly brewed. All in all, this restaurant is amongst my top five visited. Service is brilliant, friendly but professional. Would I return. If The Peldon were closer to home we would be there on a more regular basis. Prices are more than reasonable for Sunday lunch.

Long time since I’d been here but last night took advantage of a TravelZoo offer and the mrs and I eat for£35 inc a glass of bubbles, Italian ones. food was very very good, service a little slow though and we got our coffee before our dessert. Nevermind though we will go back and enjoy the food again
