Curzon Community Cinema

A cinema. with a bar. that lets you drink alcohol whilst you watch a film… WHAT WHAT!!!
An amazing experience.

The Curzon is like an old comfy slipper, been around forever, you can slip in easily and you certainly don’t go there for the looks. I think if I’d have known that before I went my expectations would have been different. I think I was expecting an old ornate theatre style cinema lovingly preserved over the years. There is an element of that with ornate walls and an old organ at the front but it’s not a big selling point of the place.
So I guess it’s best to look at this as a community cinema. The snacks are affordable (hurray), they sell plain popcorn (great for children) and it’s great to have a cinema on your doorstep rather than having to drive to a larger town and pay lots more for your ticket. So as an affordable local cinema you can’t go wrong, they put on the latest films and they even had a Q&A session lined up for the people behind the Shaun the Sheep film. Keep up the good work folks and keep cinema alive in Clevedon. P. S. Please try not to burn the popcorn next time…

Brilliant cinema with real olde worlde charm. Obviously not as comfortable as a showcase but a great experience. A definate for all cinema buffs

The curzon cinema is a very populer place in clevedon, it shows uptodate films, the seats are not the best but it makes up in charm.
The mother and baby group is brill, great when you have young children and you can watch a film with your friends.
I have too older children now so the daytime films are really good an up to date.

The mother and baby events at the curzon cinema are FANTASTIC! Its great that I can still go and see all the latest films with my little’un! Its certainly an experience sitting there, watching a film, eating popcorn and feeding your baby and with changing mats and even a microwave. what more could you ask for? I only wish I had known about such an event with my other children.
