You can find piece and tranquilty at the Fox and Hounds, buried deep in the Taw Valley of Devon among acres and acres of magical scenery with everygreen fir trees and streams, close by is the railroad that follows the Valley nearly along side the main road named the A377 found between the towns of Exeter and Barnstaple.
This beauty is set back from the main road meaning no noise polution, wildlife is plentiful with badgers, hares, deers, moles, owls among other cute furry creatures. The Establishment comes with a health and beauty spa
Magificent walks can be found in the forest with adventure trails, recommend staying here at least one week and forget the world.

I came here for the barbut this place is very much a hotel, with a barrather than a bar that offers accommodation. The bar area is actually located in what constitutes the hotel dining room. This means that while they serve a decent pint of Tribute and have a cider on offer too, the interior lacks atmosphere and has nothing to offer visually. Nice location though.
As a hotel, the reviews I have read are excellent.

stunning country hotel set in beautiful woodland surroundings, within walking distance from the local rail station. and eggesford garden centre.
the hotel offers the perfect setting for a wedding, they are registered wedding venue and have fabulous function rooms.
the restaurant is open to the public but booking is advisable, the sunday lunches are very popular.
they host a lot of entertainment evenings with several very good tribute bands appearing there.
the local rive runs just behind the hotel and the hotel have fishing rights there.
there is also seperate cottage accomodation available
