Been here few times only because it is round the corner from a relative. Get annoyed you have to buy a car park ticket for a start. Nice atmosphere inside. Service is slow. Food portions are very small. That does annoy me why they have to weigh everything. Had a Bacon sandwich for example. It was obvious they half cook the stringy Bacon earlier and then put it in the microwave. Who likes half cooked fatty Bacon? No care taken by the 16 year old school leaver in the kitchen.

Although this place has changed ownership so many times over the past few years and been through so many refurbishments, it’s still easy to recognise because the same people come here all the time — the ‘young elderly’ of Highcliffe — whatever the season, without fail you will find them here taking advantage of the early bird menu. The latest reincarnation of this place is under the Table Table brand, but the selection of British and global cliché meals remains pretty much the same — a token curry, some chilli and rice you get the idea. Although the place looks much posher than it used to and the prices have gone up a bit, really it’s exactly the same — not very exciting, rather bland, and utterly, utterly boring.
