Simply THE best chippy in the area, the chef cares about his food, and it shows in the taste and presentation. Offers more than your average chiphole. RTBI.

Not a bad chippy, what strikes me is that it’s clear that the owner (s) are good business people and know what it takes to generate interest, and there is nothing wrong with that.
I’ve only had chips, and have to say they are fine, not special but fine and overall still prefer brown’s down the road.

The best Fish & Chip shop for miles and miles … (really sorry Pawson’s — you are still very very good)
We had forgotten what real fish and chips were like with all of that sustainable grey fish you now get — well it was until we went in and sampled their cod and chips. WOW !!
Fantasic quality with the fish cooked to order in very light «healthy» oils which don’t leave a horrible greasy taste in your mouth. I was sceptical beforehand but you really have to try them to believe it !! Not the cheapest, but you definatley get what you pay for.
Keep up the good work J-​Seas !!
PS To the owner of that other so called «chip shop» who sticks up A-​boards just off Park Rd, fish and chips should not taste and look like they have been dunked in used Castrol GTX. There is more oil and grease in a single portion of your chips than BP have lost in the Gulf of Mexico !

Their perfected recipes from 30 years catering are now to become a permanent feature in a retail fish and chip shop in Chorley Lancashire. J-​Seas has only one philosophy If its not the very best we don’t sell it and all at a regular price.
J-​Seas have taken their experience in catering and restaurant success along with the contacts for premium produce from Local food heroes and are developing a premium Chip shop. Even the pies and Puddings are Gold Award winners as are their Fresh Espresso made latte and Cappuccino coffees at only £1.20.
From the cleaner better tasting frying oils that are actually ‘good for you’ and ‘easier to digest’ to the supply of sustainable fish from clean seas around Iceland everything is obsessively thought about so that your ideal Fish (Cod, Haddock, Hake or Salmon) can be served ‘YOUR WAY’ with a great choice of sauces and condiments.
J-​Seas will be open for business sometime in October 2009 and will be a real treat.
