Located in the gently rolling countryside of Wiltshire, Langley Chase Organic Farm is the pastoral home to an award winning flock of Manx Loaghtan sheep. The Manx Loaghtan(pronounced ‘Manx Lockton’) is a multi-horned primitive rare breed that was first introduced to the British Isles by Vikings during the Iron Age. This ancient species is especially hearty and, given a life beyond the strict timetables of commercial farming, matures slowly and on its own without much need for human intervention. The farm offers bespoke service. From cuts of lamb and mutton to luxurious sheepskin rugs, orders can be delivered direct or picked up at the bucolic and lovely farm. I can highly recommend the smoked lamb.
