Staff: This is a family owned and operated business which made it all the better. The staff was friendly and quite efficient. I was with a party of six, and we were all promptly waited on and served with a smile. Food: My food was out in a matter of minutes and was served piping hot. I ordered the mushroom stroganoff which was out of this world. Other items ordered within my party included the toasted tuna sandwich, chicken curry, lasagna, and chili jacket potato all of which looked divine. For dessert, I had a slice of lemon cake which had the perfect amount of lemon and was perfectly moist. Delicious! Overall, this was a lovely establishment and I highly recommend stopping in for a quick and delicious bite to eat when downtown Chichester.

First to review this café? YAY! It would have been easy to walk past this café if we weren’t hungry for some cream tea after a visit to Chichester Cathedral and actively deliberating over different tea shoppes and cafes. Cute place with a small area for seating outside in the back. Quite spacious once you walk in. Waitresses were helpful. We both had traditional cream tea for £5.40. The clotted cream was too runny, the jam preserves came in packets you’d find at a cheap hotel and the scones were too crumbly, almost biscuit-like. Tea was alright, not too strong and not too I’ve had better tea elsewhere. Tables next to us ordered sandwichs which looked delicious and were less than £4. The café also sold an assortment of cakes, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and inexpensive all-day breakfasts. A mediocre experience but it did temporarily satisfy my craving for cream tea.
