If you’re in Chesterfield you must try and take advantage of the tour of the ‘crooked’ spire church of St Mary and All Saints. The verger who took our tour was friendly and fearless in his assent of the tower and spire. It’s not a climb for the fainthearted but the views are great and the kids loved it. And for £3.50 it was a bargain.
