This is a little gem of a place, I have called in a few times for a coffee and yummy cup cakes. I noticed when I drove past the other week that they have now started doing a Pasta event every Thursday and Friday, £5 for a bowl of pasta or £20 for 2 bowls of pasta and a bottle of house wine. I went with my husband last Thursday and it was absolutely gorgeous, I had pasta with pesto, lemon oil, pine nuts and chilli and he had the chrizio pasta accompanied with a bottle of their house white, it was as good as any pasta i’ve tasted. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves pasta, good wine and company. I noticed they also do regular wine tasting events so we have booked ourselves on the next event in October

Great atmosphere, food and drink all delivered with those special and personalised touches which are missing from the large nationwide coffee shops. Definitely worth a visit — the special evening events (wine tasting etc) are great, but you have to book quite a way in advance

I was disappointed with my visit here. There was no where to sit inside and I had to sit in the drizzle outside with a damp blanket to cover my legs. The coffee was average to say the least and the food ws expensive. I also felt that the waitress who served me would rather have been somewhere else. All in all, a poor experience. There are a lot of coffee shops these days and I would suggest that Koo ‘Up Their Game’ if they are to retain enough customers to fill their few seats.

With a cracking menu, and super-​friendly staff theres not much of a better place in the cosmopolitan hub that is Chesterfield to watch the world go byor to work up the energy to brave Morrissons over the road.

I love Koo it is beautiful and welcoming. I often take friends or my kids, the staff are super friendly and generally lovely. Go, you will so not be disappointed. Even Gryff reese jones was there recently !!! Lovely food and of course fab coffees etc also have a deli

Koo is a fabulous coffee shop and deli. The decoration is funky and it is always spotlessly clean. There are sofas to relax, bar stools to prop yourself at the counter and, if you are brave enough, a seating area outside with blankets so that you can keep yourself snuggly. In addition to freshly made coffee and fantastic cakes, the menu also includes brunch, soups, sandwiches, salads etc. There is a huge variety and all that I have tasted have been mouthwatering. The deli counter offers a take away service so if you are too busy you can get your lunch to go.
The staff are brilliant and very accommodating, warming milk for my baby and making plain ham sandwiches for my, sometimes, picky daughter.
I have often seen signs for themed evenings (for example wine tasting, valentines etc) but have never had the opportunity to visit — though would love to.
