..Chester unfortunately just has the one sushi place… there used to be an independent one but it closed down :( Yo sushi’s are an ok chain… but this one really lacked quality. if you compare my photos from the one in Liverpool to this place, you can really see the difference. When I walked in on a Saturday night it was quiet. and I didn’t like the layout… it didn’t have that sushi cosy feeling… the conveyor belt was vast, but people could only sit on one side of it glaring at the chefs. and the conveyor belt itself was Sooo empty, that it left me feeling very uninspired… normally I can a spend a long time in these places but I couldn’t relax. the waiter/maybe manager spent most of the time gossiping with staff… and I found it uncomfortable asking for something… like more food… It lacked the finer details such as no wasabi pots. or if I found one it would be empty… and most of my favourites when I did see them on the belt did not look fresh. after having a quick peep under the lid. I would hastily put these back… When a group of sushi newbies turned up they had no clue on how/what to order… I think Chester’s locals are intrigued with the idea of sushi but just need some guidance exploring this… also I thought having a large group arrive would inspire the chefs to put more food on the conveyor belt. Overall this placed lacked energy, ambiance(because of the non Japanese crappy music blaring away),. …lack of freshness and oomphf. They need to a) get fresher ingredients b) change the layout c) change that god awful music d) Change the staff or train them to be appear more passionate about their job and e) Most importantly… ensure the conveyor belt is stocked!!! I disagree with the review below… giving this place a low rating because someone did not know how to read the colour coded plates is not a justification… These places can be expensive if you do not watch what you eat, but I’m rating it lowly due to the above reasons… I might try this place again in a year… if its still there… the manager confidently said it would be because its a chain… but I wouldn’t hold my breath…

Conveyor belt sushi. Decent quality, but way overpriced for what you get. Got 2 maki rolls, 2 inari, edamame, and seaweed salad, and it was about 30£. They charge for tap water.
