Great local pub just outside the city centre.
Very clean it has a great view over the river at the back.
Sadly the B&B business part has closed.

Lovely inn. Sheltered in the deep of Boughton on the outskirts of Chester, the views from the balcony and garden area of the river Dee and surrounding areas are worth the trip alone. A busy little pub day or night, with friendly locals, good beer, screen for live sports thrown in. On one of the pillars is a list of all the pubs in Chester that have disappeared over the last 100 or so years-​which makes you appreciate and value the good qualities the Mount Inn offers.

The Mount is a great pub, reasonably well hidden from view and a little gem of a find in the summer.
When you first walk into the Mount you’ll find a traditional pub with a very ‘local’ feel to it. It has a pool room, a smallish bar and the pub itself is split into several rooms.
If it’s not your local then the Mount really starts to come into its own during the summer months. It’s elevated position overlooking a meander in the River Dee makes it the perfect place to enjoy a summer drink.

The Mount Inn (The Mountain, geddit?) A great pub with very friendly staff and a brilliant owner. Does good passing trade from the local students and holds a good quiz (which from everyone walks away with a prize). Has a good pub darts and pool team with it’s own pool team. Team meets are variable in the week so check the board inside to find out when. Also has the typical fare of karaōke, comics and performers over the months. Outside it has a large beer garden with stunning views over the river common (it’s the center of where the river loops) allowing long views all the way to the welsh hills. Another hidden gem. Beers however are not cheap, £2.50 and up. Does have own ‘real ales’ on pull taps.
