By far the worst place I have eaten in Chester! Thoroughly disappointing, expensive and poor service!

On a weekend break to Chester after not having visited the city for 15 years, we stumbled across this restaurant on-line and decided to book a table for the Saturday evening. We drove to the restaurant and were lucky to find a parking space a few yards away as it was raining! Entrance to the restaurant is by way of a descending staircase and we were greeted upon arrival and shown to a lovely table. The restaurant is warm and inviting, and the décor and lighting lovely. Tables are decorated with fresh orchids and the restaurant was lively, but with a good romantic ambience. My wife has special dietary needs and the friendly waitress was helpful and informative, helping us to choose appropriate dishes. We ordered our food and wine and the wait was not too long despite the restaurant being busy. The food was gorgeous, plentiful and very fresh and the staff attentive, friendly without being overbearing. Price was about what we were expecting. It was the perfect romantic evening and we shall certainly return on our next visit to Chester, hopefully not waiting for another 15 years!

Lovely, small Thai restaurant in Chester. Very friendly service, although given how busy the place was mid-week, it’s understandable that the pace of the service relaxed rather than rushed. Really nice food, with a good, extensive vegetarian selection. Not accessible for people in wheelchairs, given that there are steps down into the restaurant(and that the upstairs is reached via either a steep or spiral staircase). WEll worth a visit if you like Thai food.

This is a very busy Thai Restaurant. It was very, very busy and the service was slow. The food was very good indeed and the prices were reasonable. The place was very nice — but with it being so busy it did feel a bit cramped. We booked — and just as well. There is no close parking — the nearest car park would be in Pepper Street.

Whenever we visit this lovely Thai restaurant it is always busy, I guess this has to be an indicator of how great this place really is. Me and my other half always end up here on special occasions and make an effort to dress smartly. The staff are dressed in traditional outfits and are polite and courteous from the moment you are greeted at the door. The tables are presented with fresh orchids and Thai music is softly played in the background. We are always amazed how intricately the salad is cut into fancy flower shapes. Our favourites include the Thai fishcakes and the sesame prawn toasties, although all the food we have eaten has been of the highest quality and you can taste the fresh ingredients. It’ll probably be an expensive evening out but definitely worth it!
