Flynn’s Restaurant

Having not been here for a while we decided to give it a try without our small daughter. They don’t have a children’s menu, but as all the food is properly cooked they can be flexible, and they were happy to be so. Husband and I both had our old favourite, the ‘lighter’ peppered steak and chips. A small steak (6oz I think), creamy peppercorn sauce, lots of thin crispy chips and nothing else to distract you, bar a sprig of watercress! Hit the spot. Puddings were also good. Daughter’s Eton mess was cleared away with a lot of cream and strawberries left, and we were told we could have just had a dish of meringue if we’d asked! Must remember that next time. Pleasant surroundings, friendly service and good food.
