There has been a co-​op Heald Green for as long as I can remember, and since they revamped a few years ago the store has come on leaps and bounds.
There’s always lots of fresh baked bread and pastries, a small hot counter with pasties and chicken, as well as really good selection of gluten free and vegan products — something the co-​op has always done well.
Friday and Saturday evenings are a great time to pick up a bargain when the fresh bread and chiller products are reduced. The self service tills are pretty good, preferable to the Tesco next door in my opinion, and the staff here are friendly and helpful. Great little store.
