please find the comment below of food being very slow, but on that particular week we had a new chef start who had to be shown the new menu, so unfortunatly the food took a bit longer than usual.
and the customers who were in that week were adised of this, so im sorry your food took a bit longer suzyh

The Nags Head in is situated on the ‘hilltop’ in Castle Donington, conveniently near the airport. Great for fans of aircraft, as it is literally a stones throw from the airport path making it an ideal place to stop off for a drink after a tour around.
Upon first visiting the pub, I noticed an instantly friendly family atmosphere. The décor is all modern, with a lovely calming fish tank in the wall & local pictures such as the Donington Race Track.
The pub has a restuarant attached to it, which I am yet to try. It looked very busy, with people waiting for a table which is always a good sign. The food smelt good as well! The drinks were at the going rate for the area, however I think it has a lot more to give than other local competition with wooden decking (along with spotlights) on the front which would be great to sit around in the summer.
