All courses offered at The Women’s Workshop are free, and aim to improve the lives and role of women in society, promoting gender equality. This educational centre has been established since 1984 offering training, consultancy and support to individual women, groups and organisations, covering a broad range of topics from Nutrition to Arts & Crafts workshops, Wellbeing awareness sessions, and CV workshops. Details of forthcoming courses are advertised on their website. This September they’ve launched a new Big Lottery-funded project called ‘Open Space’, which will see the centre’s facilities extended and additional activities made available for evenings, school holidays and weekends — catering not only for women but for family groups, employed women and young girls.
