There’s not a lot of courses at The Carlton Institute that I’m too excited about, as they concentrate mainly on beauty care training in things like nails and beauty therapy. But, out of the forty courses available, there’s a couple that really appeal. These are aromatherapy massage and holistic therapy. The Carlton Institute specialise in short courses which suits me down to the ground. i have often felt that courses that I have attended have been unnecessarily drawn out, and have often be padded out with irrelevant information, that is no use to anyone other than the collage and the teacher in that they offer an excuse to charge more for their time! The Carlton Institute have a number of colleges throughout the UK and have been operative for over 16 years. All of the courses that they run are accredited, ranging from NVQ’s to individual modules in beauty therapy, nails, holistic therapy and beauty business courses. Courses are tailored to those who are looking to work as an independent therapist or in a spa /salon. I have no interest in practicing as a therapist, but still feel that these courses would be ideal for me. They are expensive mind, and some require previous training as a prerequisite.
