Meddygfa Llwyncelyn Practice

This is a family practice with a history of providing medical services to Whitchurch and the surrounding area since 1916. Dr Jones replaced Dr G Harris on his retirement in 1983 and Dr Hyett joined on the retirement of Dr Thelma Williams in 1992. Dr Maria Johnson joined the practice as part time assistant in 2000.
The practice moved to the purpose-​built premises of Park Road Surgery in 1993. These premises offer modern facilities and easy parking, with convenient access for disabled people. In 2001 the practice gained the Investor in People Award.
Meddygfa Llwyncelyn Practice offers a ‘rapid and flexible appointment system’ offering contact within two working days for routine matters. Surgeries operate from 08:00 to 11:30 and 14:30 to 18:00, Monday to Friday. Routine appointments are 12 mins long and are available for booking up to six weeks in advance. Longer appointments are available if required.
Same day appointments are available morning, afternoon and evening. Requests for same day appointments will be added to the triage list and a doctor will phone you back as soon as possible to organise the most appropriate type of care.
