The competition on City road for hair and beauty salons is fierce! So you can expect great service, great prices and a fantastic result every time at Creation hd, they aim to impress, and they reward you’re loyalty too (vouchers, discounts and a huge welcome thrown in).
I go there regularly for a colour, cut, treatment and blow-​dry (high– maintenance, moi?), so you can imagine I am very particular about the way my hair looks and feels. My weak, straw like hair is turned into tumbling, glamorous locks after a Creation hd fix, and I am always left feeling impressed.
The service is great, the staff are really professional, helpful, make you feel at ease and most importantly listen to what you say, for example, when I say «just an inch off the ends» that’s what I’m going to get, instead of a good scalping! You can look forward to the rinse as well, a massaging chair and a head massage too, just try not to fall asleep… its truly relaxing.
Calling all students, make sure you look out for the frequent deals advertised on the blackboard outside, its normally 20% off Tuesdays to Thursdays! They also do deals and discounts for teachers too.
It won’t break the bank either; I usually pay approx £45 for a half head of foils, blow dry and treatment without discount.

Over the last 18 months I’ve been getting my hair cut in Creation by the lovely Hannah. Although I love the results I really hate getting my hair cut. I find going to the hairdressers a bit of a trial. Bit like going to the dentist for me.
But I have to say the staff are lovely in Creation, really friendly and just pleased to help. The fact I’ve been going religiously for the last 18 months is a very good sign, I normally last about six months. Creation is about half way up City Road so it’s pretty central. I normally get some baklava from the Meditteranean Sweet Centre on the way home as an incentive to keep going.
Hannah has recently taken over the business and it seems to be going from strength to strength. The only down-​side is that there’s too many pink things for my liking. !!
When I’ve got an appointment I normally get a reminder text the day before which is great for me.

I don’t know how normal an attitude this is, but I don’t care about how neat my hair looks. Occasionally, though, when I have some event I have to make a bit of an effort for, say, a graduation party or award ceremony, I feel obliged to pay someone to cut all the knots out.
In Creation, this kind of attitude is not a problem. Despite the trendy interior design and utterly stylish hairdressers, this salon doesn’t take itself too seriously and their motto, ‘First we listen. We ask questions. Then we design’, truly sums up their dedicated and personal approach to styling.
The salon isn’t intimidating, even for a phobic like me, and is full of informed staff who are willing to give you some tips pitched at the level of your grooming routine.
My advice for students would to be to look out for the special deals displayed on a blackboard outside the store. If you are flexible with what time you can come, the deals are worth looking into. Creation also offer 20% off for teachers and school staff. We can only hope they’re talking about the price, not the cut.
Even without these specific deals, though, this place is truly good value for money and loyal customers are rewarded. That’s one good reason to contemplate a cut!

I really like Creation Ltd. It’s a great name for a lovely little salon. The thing that I really admire about this place is that they have the balance between professionalism and friendliness just right, which means that when you go for a cut at Creation Ltd you will feel really relaxed but come away looking great. Perfect!
As with so many businesses on City Road, Creation Ltd caters to students, and somewhat inevitably offers them a discount on certain days of the week, but they by no means exclusively target the student market. Toni and Hannah at Creation Ltd have focussed their business in a different way. They essentially cut peoples hair from all walks of life, with the only prerquisite beingtthat they want to look good at the end of it!
Prices are really reasonable, especially considering the standard of hairdressing that you get here. The décor is modern and pleasant and the equipment they use is pretty cutting edge.

Really good, stylish salon with a very glamorous feel to it.
They make a big thing on their website about listening and trying to understand what you want and I certainly felt they listened to me and too a good idea about what I usually do with my hair before they started chopping away.
I got the no fuss hairstyle I wanted and it was pretty cheap, I paid less than £30 and was very happy.
Better still if your a student you 20% off on certain days so thats very reasonable.
