Balti Empire

The only thing I have noticed the décor needs revamping and I found the toilets slippery which could be fatal, also the staff attitude has declined but the food is ok.

went there the other night, very nice food, good service. Only complaint is a slight smell of toilet duck in the air, maybe that’s just me though as my friends couldn’t smell anything

I’ve heard people rave about the Balti — Empire and lets be honest and empire built on the power of the Balti alone has to be good.
So I went with a few friends expecting a superb evening of culinary delight. What i got was a few hours of food that I have experienced a million times before. We had a good time and the service was swift and with a smile but unfortunately it wasn’t good enough for me to be one of the Balti-​Empire ravers.
Would I go again? (who asked that? Oh I did) Yes but I would probably suggest a few restaurants before this if I had an option. Maybe I had an off dish by a chef not in the mood on an a night when my taste buds were having an off night. People I was with seemed to enjoy it though — so maybe it was just me. So in conclusion — make your own mind up.

Balti Empire is one of five high-​end Indian restaurants that joined forces about three years ago, thereby creating a unique alliance, with the common objective of raising the standard of Asian cuisine. Serving pan-​Asian and Bangladeshi cuisine that is unsurpassable; these five restaurants have clearly taken the best ideas and advice from the pool, and applied them to arrive at a winning formula. So, not only have they achieved their aims admirably, they have also been rewarded with the recognition that they deserve. Regional credits include ‘Indian Restaurant of the Year’ from the South Wales Echo and the same from the South Wales Argus.
The look of the restaurants have also contributed to the overall appeal, and has certainly gone some way toward helping them achieve such high acclaim. Again, they have taken the best of the best, and arrived at a look that is tastefully contemporary, and very much their own. Balti Empire is a sombre and elegant looking place, painted in muted tones, and adorned with refined artwork, providing a sophisticated back-​drop to an evening of fine dining. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!
