This is one of my favourite pubs in Canterbury. They also have great soup and sandwiches (and amazing bread!) Nice landlord and good atmosphere.

This pub in Canterbury is renowned for its pub quiz nights on a Sunday evening, and it attracts regular pub quiz teams, consequently the questions are tough, but not impossible. On Sundays therefore it can get very busy, so arrive before 8 pm to get a seat and try your hand at the quiz.
It is frequented by a mix of people, locals, tourists and students, and is not at all cliquey. The building is medieval, and the inside I would describe as comfortable and well-loved!
The beers are excellent and the wines good.
