Went here on Valentines day this year as I thought the menu looked quite appetising and quite similar to food I had eaten in Naples, Italy. I reserved a table and we were told we would have to leave by 6:30 so I said fine, even though when we arrived it was half empty. They seated us at the back of the restaurant in a dark corner which I wasn’t that impressed with but wasn’t bothered too much. We ordered garlic bread with mozzarella which was delicious! Very cheesy and garlicky taste, YUM! We also ordered zucchini on the side which wasn’t that good value for money, only 4 little strips of courgette but it was tasty. Then we ordered ‘Pizza Panne’ which is a cream and mozzarella based pizza, just like they have in Naples. It looked very good and tasted delicious but wasn’t as creamy as in Naples. Overall, i’d probably come here again for student night pizza but not in a hurry.

Easily my favorite Italian restaurant in Canterbury. Far better than the bigger chains like Strada or Pizza Express. This one’s right across the street from the cathedral’s back end. It’s not quite as «in town» as some of the other Italian places, but that just makes it easier to get a table. The service is excellent and very attentive. They’re more than happy to help you with a wine pairing or discuss the specials. The pasta in particular is out of this world, with fresh, colorful ingredients. There are plenty of vegetarian options, with meatless pastas and pizzas. You’ll find not only basic penne and lasagna, but also risotto, gnocchi and fusilli. Fresh seafood is the protein of choice in most dishes, but there’s also a selection of beef, lamb and chicken. The portions are outstanding(and should be; the place can be a little pricey), and the starters are big enough to share and then some. The décor and storefront are charming, classy and European-inspired. It’s worth walking a little out of your way to get to Posillipo.

Osteria Posillipo took over the old Tuo e Mio restaurant, and stayed with the Italian theme but added a pizza oven. It was quiet when we arrived on Friday night but soon livened up. The specials of the day on the blackboard were excellent: scallops in parma ham in a cream, brandy sauce, incredibly rich and calorific, but yummy. The pork with porcini was similarly delicious. The house red was good quality. The dessert menu defeated us. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
