Loved our meal here! Got the tip from a local and could not have been happier!

I just returned from a trip to Rome about two weeks ago and can honestly say this Italian food is completely amazing and authentic and delicious! YUMMMMMMM! Not only was the food amazing, but the staff was completely friendly! The chef came to ask how our meal was and the owner stopped by multiple times to make sure we were okay! It’s just a five minute walk from the city center! I highly recommend the calamari and the aubergine appetizer. SOGOOD! Everything is locally sourced and fresh! You will noooooot be disappointed!

Pinocchios is a well established restaurant, based on Castle street in Canterbury. The restaurant is light and bright with good service, with a good reputation in the city. The menu is decent with a broad range including the most popular pastas and pizzas, a however this feels like fare I could get anywhere rather than being regionally specific. The specials however are a different story, and I think represent the best food, even if they are a tiny bit more expensive. As a family run and family friendly place it definitely represents good value for money, and I would recommend it for a wide variety of occasions from First Date to Party or just if you want to have some good italian food.

We were recently on a day trip to Canterbury and were recommended to this restaurant for lunch. As we came in we were greeted by sounds of enjoyment from a large party of twenty-two people, from a local language school I was subsequently told. The owners, being typically Italian, really love children and there were severl families with small children who repeatedly got in the harassed staff’s way, and not a murmur of complaint, and even a friendly chuck under the chin when laden down with dishes! The cooking was really up to a high standard, and the food was a little slow to arrive and when it did we realised it had all been cooked from scratch, so it was worth the wait. We had a three course meal(I had fillet steak) and a medium priced bottle of wine and it came to around £68. Considering the length of time we were there — I hate ruching my food, and the friendly atmosphere of the restaurant, I consider it a good deal. The italian restaurant we visit in central London would have cost around a hundred pounds for such a meal, although they are very generous with the free brandy they give me afterwards!

This is a lovely, friendly restaurant, run by Italians and they do fantastic special dishes of the day, with beautiful quality fish. These dishes tend to be more expensive than their wide variety of pastas and pizzas. They have an extensive list of Italian wines and their ice creams always please the children as they are huge and decorated with tinsel sticks.

This is the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in Canterbury and the food and service are top-notch. Also the only restaurant in Canterbury I’ve been to who can cope with large parties, but perhaps I’ve been unlucky. The only reason for not giving five stars is that it is a little pricey. A three course meal with a cheap bottle of wine cost two of us £75 recently and although not extortionate, I have had cheaper Italian meals in central London. Great place for a celebration or special occasion.
