Most of the stuff in my house over the last five years has come from this store. It has everything you could possibly need to furnish a poor student house. Everything. It’s a bit difficult to get to due to being in an industrial estate but the food is the cheapest you’ll probably get in Canterbury bar Lidl. As far as produce goes, it’s much the same as any other ASDA, but it also has a petrol station which is the cheapest in the city. I always go here to fuel up and then buy some muffins. Wiiiinnnn. The campus do a £1 shuttle service right to it so in terms of student shopping, this is probably your best bet too for price and convenience. If you’ve got a car, it has HUGE on-side parking, making it ultimately cheaper than anything you’ll find in town once you factor in the overpriced parking.

Walmart owns Asda, so it’s pretty much the same. As an American student, it was the place to get certain grocery items. Otherwise, it was more economical for me to go to High Street instead.

Easily accesible by bus — the bus stop is opposite Asda on both sides of the road so that’s good. Car park is free for customers and absolutely huge with plenty of disabled and mother and baby spaces. There are loads of things inside the store including George(clothes and jewelry), food, and home stuff. Great value, extremely cheap but some more pricey things. Great staff and very quick at doing the beepy things at the tills. It’s not the most cutting edge of places but you can buy electrical items such as phones, cameras, even TVs! It is very near the city centre and other industrial estates such as Comet and PC World.

All you need from your regular Asda store but getting to it can be a problem as on the main Sturry road and usually traffic isn’t good. Tidy store. Staff helpful. Parking usually ok but not at peak times.
