The Tea Bay

It’s not often that I get out to Cambuslang and whenever I do, I manage to get lost. After driving the back streets and struggling to get a parking spot I was over the moon to finally get inside this lovely little café/​tea room to meet up with a friend.
It’s a small space but it actually doesn’t feel too small — we were able to chat without feeling like the whole place could hear our conversation. The menu is pretty simple — sandwiches, soup and afternoon tea. I decided just to get a toasted chicken and cheese sandwich while my friend got soup and ½ sandwich. It was a lovely sandwich and nicely presented, and with a side of crisps (I said no to the offer of salad). The soup was properly chunky, more like a broth and looked lovely.
We stayed for a while with teas and coffee, and the bill was very reasonable. I’d definitely pop back here for another visit if I was in Cambuslang again.
