Lovely and peaceful! Great for kids too.

It is a lovely park, slightly spoiled by the incessant roar of traffic from the adjacent A14. Having seen the transformation of the park from the polluted old quarries that used to be here, it’s lovely to be able to walk round with the kids.
You can see the enourmous carp from the balcony near the café, it’s worth checking the notice board in the visitor centre for recent sitings of rare animals.
We saw a Kingfisher and a mink crunching up the bones of a stinking old rabbit corpse when we visited recently. Well worth a visit, but slightly muddy in winter so bring Wellies!

This is a fantastic park just outside Cambridge with easy and cheap parking. It has many walks through it and it very popular with fishermen and families. It has a small play area for children (swings etc). The onsite café is extremely good value. However, above everything else it has wide open spaces, great wildlife, and offers huge oppoerunities for adults and kids alike to play.
